An app preview is the short video that plays before your screenshots on the App Store (on Google Play the promo video is a YouTube link, not uploaded).
iOS app preview rules
- Duration: 15–30 seconds.
- Count: up to 3 per device size.
- Resolution: matches the device's screenshot size (e.g. 1080 × 1920 or 886 × 1920 portrait for 6.9"/6.5").
- Format: .mov, .mp4 or .m4v; H.264 or ProRes.
- Use in-app footage only; no real-world device/hands shots.
Tip
The first 3 seconds matter most — autoplay is muted, so carry the message visually.
